Located in scenic Langdale, British Columbia, this nautical-inspired home showcases an expansive view over Howe Sound. The view is sand-etched into the glass at the front entry. Continuing the nautical theme, the front foyer displays a waterfall and a tile compass inlaid in the floor. A secret library and scotch room are housed behind a hidden door disguised as a bookcase. A recycled teak handrail from a ship was refinished to lead the main stairwell upstairs to the master bedroom and crafts room. The basement was added at a minimal cost to accommodate a rental suite, a utility room, an exercise room, and a spare bedroom. 45 site-built white timber knee braces fit the exterior of the house.
